to the official website of the 13th Annual APRIA
Conference, hosted by the China Center for Insurance
and Social Security Research (CCISSR), at Peking
University, Beijing, China.The CCISSR,a non-profit
academic organization specialized in Insurance
and Social Security studies, was established
in September 2003. Professor Qixiang Sun is
the Director. |

mission of the CCISSR is to provide a platform for the
exchange of ideas and views, information sharing, education,
and international cooperation in the field of China’s
insurance and social security and to build an integrated
base for official bodies, the industry, education and
research forces. |

| The
2009 Beijing conference will be held at Peking University
during July 19-22, 2009. On behalf of the organizer of
the Beijing conference, the China Center for Insurance
and Social Security Research (CCISSR) of Peking University,
I would like to express my warmest welcome to every one
of you. |

| Beijing is the capital city
of China, and it is also the city that will host the 2008
Olympic Games. Peking University was founded in 1898 and
is the most prestigious university in China. The campus
of Peking University stands near the Yuan Ming Gardens
and the Summer Palace, both of which were imperial gardens. |
