Welcome to the official website of the 13th Annual APRIA Conference, hosted by the China Center for Insurance and Social Security Research (CCISSR), at Peking University, Beijing, China.

The CCISSR is very proud to be able to host the 13th Annual APRIA Conference in 2009. The CCISSR, an academic organization dedicated to the research on insurance and social security in China, was established in 2003. Since its birth, the CCISSR has been making efforts to set up a platform for the communication among government, industry and academia in the fields of insurance and social security. Through a series of academic research and exchange activities, the CCISSR has made significant contribution to the development of the insurance industry and the reform of the social security system in China.

The Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA) was created in 1997 to provide a means for all persons and entities with an interest in risk management, insurance, actuarial science, and related areas to share ideas and to engage in collaborative research for the ultimate benefit of the insurance industry. The Association invites participation in its annual conference from all countries, academics, executives, researchers, and government leaders willing to share ideas and to engage in collaborative research.

We look forward to a inspiring program of plenary and concurrent sessions in July 2009 and invite academics and practitioners in risk management, insurance, actuarial science and social security from around the world to join us in Beijing for this important event.

APRIA offers individual memberships as well as institutional memberships. APRIA members come from countries in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe and North America. A discounted registration for the conference is available for members and we strongly encourage all those attending the conference to take advantage of the reduced APRIA member registration by joining the Association.
